Dr. Loretta Ciraldo, MD, FAAD, is a highly sought-after board certified dermatologist with over 40 years of experience.
She is an avid clinical researcher, published author, and regular on-camera expert. Dr. Loretta’s research experience started in 1975 in the Dermatology Department of Harvard Medical School, where she performed early testing on the effects of UVA on human skin and contributed to the development of the Fitzpatrick Skin Type Classification. She received her MD from Downstate Medical College of State University of New York and completed her dermatology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY, where she was selected as Chief Resident.
Performing tens of thousands of total body exams during the course of her career, she has been struck by the remarkable differences seen in exposed skin on our faces, neck, chest and hands compared to unexposed skin, on our torso and other areas covered by clothing. Dr. Loretta has determined that to achieve our most youthful and healthy appearance we must keep “skin unexposed” to four factors she determined contribute to unwanted aging changes. These factors are pollution, light, climate and irritants.
Together with Myriam Zaoui Malka, Dr. Loretta co-founded the Dr. Loretta line of anti-aging skincare products, formulated with high concentrations of advanced medical-grade actives, combined with blends of the most beneficial essential oils and botanical and marine ingredients to ensure that skin remains unexposed to harmful external influences.
She is most proud of her family, including her husband Dr. Robert Ciraldo and their four amazing children, Gina, Daniel, Katrina and Liza and their wonderful grandchild, Siena Loretta for whom Dr. Loretta is determined to remain youthful and looking her freshest well into her eighties and beyond.
Myriam Zaoui Malka has over 20 years of expertise in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine, nutrition and aromatherapy.
The Paris native takes a holistic approach to beauty using natural ingredients and gentle product formulations. Passionate about creating products that promote health and wellbeing, Myriam believes that beauty begins from within.
After moving to New York in her twenties, Myriam co-founded The Art of Shaving and served as Chief Creative Officer for nearly 15 years. In this role, she led all aspects of branding, marketing, design and product development, dedicating herself to improving the men’s shaving experience through the use of natural ingredients. Myriam’s passion for formulating led her to open her own laboratories where she oversaw a team of chemists to develop award winning and industry-first product innovations for The Art of Shaving.
In 2009, the company was acquired by Procter & Gamble and Myriam was tapped to consult for P&G’s research and development team. During her two-year tenure, she gained invaluable knowledge and experience in upstream product development, formulating and testing.
Myriam is the proud mother of two young boys and resides in South Florida with her husband Eric Malka, Co-Founder and former CEO of The Art of Shaving. She enjoys traveling the world with her family and staying abreast of the latest innovations in design, product formulation, and natural ingredients.
Gina is the Chief Executive Officer of Dr. Loretta, overseeing all aspects of the business. Prior to joining Dr. Loretta, Gina was an attorney at international law firms in New York and Miami practicing in the areas of corporate finance and estate planning. She left her legal career in 2014 to join Dr. Loretta and Myriam to bring the line to fruition, working closely with them on product development, marketing and sales.
The oldest daughter of Dr. Loretta, Gina grew up an avid skincare fan and loves to wear a make-up free face. Gina is the past chair of the board of directors of Catalyst Miami, a non-profit organization serving low income families in Miami-Dade County. She lives in Miami Beach with her husband Daniel, daughter Siena and son Luca.
Liza is Director of Education for Dr. Loretta, training all Dr. Loretta retailers on the benefits of the line and how to effectively sell the product to customers.
Liza started her sales career in contemporary art galleries in New York City, where she lived for ten years.
As the youngest daughter of Dr. Loretta, she has a deep understanding of the benefits of medical grade ingredients on the skin.
